Love, love and more love.  Here are some of the books we LOVE!

Little Mouse’s Big Valentine
by Thacher Hurd

This adorable little mouse make an enormous Valentine.  It is hard to carry and very heavy.   Unfortunately no one wants it.  Follow this little guy as he searches for a recipient and figures out a solution to his BIG problem.  (As I was linking the title I found that this book is starting at $0.87;  which makes me very sad for the book, but very happy for you!) We made our own Big Valentine to accompany the book.

Love, Ruby Valentine
By Laurie Friedman   Illustrated by Lynne Avril Cravath

This one is a brand new favorite.  We checked it out from the library and it is a winner.  Rudy Valentine knows exactly what it means to give and show her love.  It takes a little mistake for her to realize how much everyone around her appreciates what she does.  The pictures are wonderful and the words; playful and fun.

The Pout-Pout Fish

This is NOT a valentine book.  I actually put a hold on it at the library hoping it would arrive for my Friendship Book Review .  It took too long to come in though, so I just got it.  I LOVE this book way too much to pass up the opportunity to share it with you!  There is a repetitive, sing song chorus that I have had in my head for days.  This funny fish insists that the pout he wears dictates his behavior until a new friend comes along and shows him a new way to look at himself.  It appears that this is not the only Pout Pout book. . .I for one can not wait to get my hands on the other one.
